Sean (Wei hsiang) is an industrial designer with 1-2 years experience in design consulting and household products, working for multiple companies in New York City. Integrating a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Technology Application and a MFA degree in Industrial Design at Parsons, he is equipped to think uniquely from other designers. Working with his hands in the shop and with factories in large production, Sean has experience in designing products to be manufactured in efficient and environmentally friendly ways. As an industrial designer, he is always drawn to problem solving and caring about how to bring sustainable concepts into design.

Sean has worked with world renowned clients such as Black and Decker, Costco, Target, Samsonite Home, Bed Bath and Beyond and other major brands and retailers in North America. In his former position, he was responsible for the whole product design process from design thinking, development, testing, 3D modelling, rendering and discussion with manufacturers where he acquired a superb eye for aesthetics, materials, proportion, trend and manufacturing technology. He also works as a freelancer with a small startup project where he developed creative thinking and ability to think outside of the box and utilized his passion for working hands-on to push the project to the next level.

He is an enthusiastic young designer eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills as well as a critical thinker who challenges current design methods and outcomes. Moreover, he is accustomed to the rigors of completing tasks in deadline-driven environments requiring exceptional attention to detail, consistent accuracy, and outstanding communication skills for team success. His experiences have helped develop a high level of design thinking, branding, computer modeling, prototyping, and team working ability.
